In the past 2 days (which is weekend), I had my first 2 class of TEFL at downtown in St. George campus
the way instructor present things are totally out of my mind,
in a class about 20 - 25 of adults who wanted to work as English teachers overseas,
the instructor really did a good job presenting the material

since not many of us have experience of teaching, but some did have teaching experience overseas
in such case, individual work for the course will not to be working very well,
thus, most of the time, we were working in groups or in pairs and trying to get what the situation would be like in difference places of the world

unlike teaching english as second language (ESL) course where you would be able to work in an English speaking country
there is much more to do for a EFL teachers!!!!

language is only one of the problems
even though you don't know the language, you will still be able to learn it during your stay / teaching period
the most important thing is: CULTURE SHOCKS!!!
different countries have different culture, which can easily be understand by any of us
gathering proper information before you go is the most important thing, else you are in BIG TROUBLE!!

there is an assignment that we need to finish earliest on next sunday (oct. 21) and the saturday follow it (oct. 27)
which is to do a lesson planning for the class you gonna teach in the future
however, nothing specific is given, except ideas that would help us to develop it
therefore, you can design the lesson plan for whatever level and to anyone, and in all kinds of structures
i'm currently thinking about children in beginner level or adults who want to advance themselves on Business English.
have not yet figure out how i'll do it, but for sure it would be a nice experience to go through this type of stuff
at least we did go through all the content need to be included in the lesson plan during class, and there are examles on the textbook as well
i'll try my best to develop all the way through.

it seems that the things we gonna learn till the course end will be very challenging and fun!!
i just love it
kinda feel that i'm being a bit talkative during the class
well, not that talkative compare to others in the classroom, but i did talk more than i used to.
everyone in the class kinda learn from each other and share the ideas, or comment on the statement which instructor gave out
it's fun to observe all kinds of views & absorb them as well
i know i'll have fun time next week as well...


the only sad thing is.....it seems that i don't get a chance to rest.....
I NEED BREAK!!!!!
